Ex-Chelsea and Napoli defender Koulibaly buys into Sedan

Former Chelsea and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has bought into French club Sedan.

After securing promotion to Regional 2 (the seventh French division), the president of Sedan-Ardennes, Daniel Gurin, announced the arrival of Koulibaly in the club's organisation chart.

The defender, who currently plays for Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), has chosen to invest in the fallen giants (twice Coupe de France winners) thanks to his friend Teddy Pellerin, a former assistant coach of Sedan and member of the staff of the Senegal national team.

Koulibaly played his first senior football with Metz.

After relegation due to financial problems last summer, the Ardennes-based club presented a project with the ambition of returning to National 2 (fourth division) within four years.
